Delivery by public notice is a special method of delivery where the document is delivered to the addressee by posting it on the University's official notice board. Delivery by public notice is made on persons who are demonstrably unable to be delivered to, on persons who are unknown and on persons specified by law.

Delivery by public notice is regulated by Act No. 500/2004 Coll., the Administrative Code, specifically, delivery by public notice is regulated in Section 25 of the Administrative Code and Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Universities.

Delivery by public notice under the Administrative Code

Delivery by public notice will be used on persons whose residence or domicile is unknown and on persons who are demonstrably unable to be delivered to, as well as on persons who are unknown, and in other cases specified by law.

Delivery by public notice is done by posting the document or, where appropriate, a notice of the possibility of receiving the document on the official notice board of the administrative authority serving the document; the date of posting will be marked on the document. The document or notice will also be published in a manner permitting remote access. On the fifteenth day after the posting, the document is considered delivered, if the obligation under the second sentence has also been fulfilled within that period, irrespective of whether the addressee has seen it.

If the end of the 15 day period falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, the last day of the period shall be the next following working day.

Service by public notice under the Higher Education Act

The College shall proceed in accordance with the above-mentioned section of the Administrative Code.

The student is obliged to report to the college or part of the college at which he/she is enrolled their delivery address or his/her data box. If he/she fails to fulfil this obligation or delivery to the reported address fails, the University will deliver to the student by public notice and will not appoint a legal guardian for the student. This applies in particular, but not exclusively, to decisions regarding:

recognition of examinations
interruption of study
award of a scholarship
assessment of fees associated with studies
failure to meet the requirements of the study programme as laid down in the Regulations on Study and Examination
disciplinary offence
expulsion from studies on the grounds that the student has been admitted to study as a result of his or her fraudulent conduct
